Hoover Air Cordless Lift Bagless Upright Vacuum, BH51120PC
Absolutely love this vacuum! I didn’t have very high expectations for this since it is cordless and past experience teaches that the batteries don’t last very long. However, I can vacuum my living room, bedroom, spare room, and kitchen (wood floor) with one battery. I love having this vacuum for my upstairs, taking it up & down is no problem. It is very light and I have no issues with the suction on my carpets or wood floors. I purchased this in March and my charger quit in September. I called customer service and they were very friendly, they are sending a replacement charger, no cost.
Anker HomeVac Duo Cordless Vacuum Cleaner – Red
I picked this guy up at a discount to supplement our Neato Botvac and several old canister vacuum cleaners. The Neato, which we rate very highly, doesn’t do stairs, and the canisters are a pain to manage for small jobs. This fits the bill as a great “extra” vacuum with enough runtime and power to do the carpeted stairs and edges that our Neato misses, with less hassle that running out the old corded vacs.
Hoover Linx BH50010 Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner
Pros:
Cleans well – on/off brushroll for bare floors or area rugs/carpeting, excellent on pet hair
Control on handle – easy to use
Charge indicator accurate & useful
Dust cup very easy to empty & clean (including baffle tube when necessary)
Filter easy to clean
Stands up to store
Cons:
Awkward on stairs – no stair-handle, must support from below. I’m getting used to this, and it’s easier if I use my stronger hand for the machine and weaker hand for the handle.
THE BOTTOM LINE:
Hoover Platinum CSV is absolutely shines in two areas: ease of use (switching from brushroll on to brushroll off, going between surface heights & types), and cleaning ability, especially the tricky maneuver of getting pet hair off area rugs.
