Dewalt FlexVolt: 5 Hot New Tools from Dewalt’s 2016
Dewalt FlexVolt – We just returned from the 2016 new media event Dewalt tools, where they have introduced a lot of new stuff. I have been to many events Dewalt and communications Stanley Black & Decker, and this is by far the largest ever. It’s great.
Dewalt FlexVolt is the star of the show and there are many details, we will have to talk about the new tools and high technology. For example, there is a new world’s first wireless sawing table! Cordless 12 “Saw hat! And they make great too, or at least that’s what I’m saying. Everything is so busy that I never to check out one of these tools.
While I was working on expanding the scope of this event, I want to tell you about the 5 new tool is my favorite. Some of these I KNOW you’ll be just as excited about.
DEWALT FLEXVOLT 60V MAX BRUSHLESS CORDLESS CIRCULAR SAW
This is a brushless Dewalt saws that you have been waiting for. I gave it a quick test, cut through some of the documents the board width, and it went through like butter.
It amazes me is the look and feel FlexVolt saw like a 20V Max found. Do not let a 60V Max stage – it is compact and easy to hold.
Model: DCS575, will be available as a tool for ceiling (DCS575B, $$) and FlexVolt kit (DCS575T1, $$$).

DEWALT PORTABLE POWER STATION (PPS) DCB1800B
The new Dewalt Power Station Portable, PPS for short, can provide power any electrical wiring tool. Saw your hat, your table saw, your dust extractor!
It features 4-pin parallel, and outputs up to 15A. It can handle up to twice the starting current, which means it will not be fried from the current nan normal power tools.
There is a demo to see how the dust extractor Dewalt has worked with a new grinder when grinding surface a cement block. Blender is plugged into the vac to activate automatically, and the PPS vac. You will not be able to do the same with larger engines, such as a table saw or a chainsaw, since power can draw in 15A peak, but you can do this with a lot of stuff Hand. Sanders, grinders, tool oscillation – things like that.
PPS works with Max 20V battery pack, and the pack FlexVolt capacity for extra charge. It can be mounted on top of the case ToughSystem!
Price: $$, plus the cost (4) Battery
DEWALT TOUGHSYSTEM WALL MOUNT BRACKETS!
Final! A wall system for the tool box and accessories Dewalt ToughSystem !!
I know this is something a lot of you have asked, and it is something I’m pretty excited about as well. It’s never fun when I have access to the case ToughSystem a pile at the bottom of 6-box.
DEWALT CURVED HANDLE UTILITY KNIFE
Dewalt’s new utility knife with a blade changing mechanism new novel that works quickly and easily. And a carabiner clip for versatile carry options.
Change blade mechanism is very impressive, but I was far more influenced by how comfortable handle is, and how butter-smooth structure is withdrawn. This could be a utility knife the smoothest on the market. I will definitely need to test a retail model, just to be sure.
DEWALT 20V MAX 6.0AH AND FLEXVOLT 9.0AH BATTERY PACKS
Dewalt FlexVolt launched their tools and systems with batteries 6.0Ah battery, but that’s just the beginning.
There is a higher capacity 9.0Ah battery pack in the works, but it is not only expanding, it is designed with technology different battery cells.
Battery manufacturers have reached a limit of how good they could build battery cells the size 18650 brand most used in 18V and 20V battery pack their Max. To push toward the future, Dewalt has designed their new 9.0Ah packs using cells 20700 form factor, which is a bit bigger, but also more than 18650 cell performances of the same capacity.
The result is a slightly larger battery pack, but one that can offer similar performance FlexVolt 6.0Ah packs and high capacity battery packs currently 20V Max. So you will get the same high performance, but longer run time.
I think there is also potential for higher capacity cells, but it remains to be seen.
Also coming soon is a new battery 6.0Ah 20V Max, using the same cell as 20700 form factor FlexVolt 9.0Ah packs coming.
The 6.0Ah battery pack will be slightly larger than the current Dewalt 20V MAX high capacity battery pack, but the alternative would be a package of performance and size compromise. The change in battery form factor is essential.
There is also potential for greater liability capacity to feed more hungry for power tools.
